Love defines us, inspires us, enriches us, and adds meaning to our lives.
Capturing fleeting moments so that couples can relive them over and over again is what makes wedding photography so special. Knowing that these mementos will be passed down to the next generation is also incredibly humbling.
My name is Kurt Vinion, I would be honored to be your wedding photographer.
Anyone can take a picture, but to capture fleeting moments that illustrate how you felt at that special time in your life takes patience, a keen eye, and an artistic focus. This is just one of the many reasons why 9 wedding & portrait photographers from around the world have chosen me to capture their memories.
I just love them.
What I love most is that you have really captured the day and the way Andrew and I were feeling and this is priceless.
As a wedding photographer myself, it was always going to be a big ask for someone to capture our big day and get us to behave ourselves!
Not only did I admire Kurt's work enough to want him to be our man, but he was also even part of the reason we decided to get married in Prague.
The results are magical and we've had so many people compliment us on such great wedding photographs.
I cannot recommend Kurt highly enough. He is an immense talent and an all-around lovely guy.

This gallery is a collection of some of my favorite moments captured over the last 10 + years. I do hope you enjoy seeing the variety of imagery that this collection showcases. I also hope that you will appreciate the skill, technical ability, and creativity that is in this collection.
Though I am based in Prague, clients have invited me to capture their weddings in Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, England, Germany, Greece, Malta, N. Ireland, Poland, the United States (San Diego and Louisville), Slovakia, and Slovenia. Unfortunately, thanks to Brexit - I am no longer taking commissions for the United Kingdom. This is bittersweet as it was in Ireland and N. Ireland that I learned the craft of creating elegant wedding portraits that retain a classical elegance from one of Ireland's Master Photographers.
Though wedding photography styles change the one thing that is constant, is the importance of capturing beautiful moments. As much as we photographers love to show off our posing, lighting skills, and yes, those fantastic locations - it is always moments that brides and grooms swoon about many years later. Perhaps this focus on capturing moments is why 9 full-time professional wedding & portrait photographers have sought me to capture their stories. Regardless of the reason why I am thankful that I can still do this as a living and to have made so many wonderful lifelong friends along the way.
I would also like to say a big thank you to those couples who have allowed me to showcase their wedding photography.
The couples I have worked with have had their weddings featured in CS Luxury Style, Weddings Online, the cover of Engaged Magazine (above photo), White Weddings, Good Morning America, BBC, Conde Nast, Wedding Magazine (NZ), Gay Wedding, French Wedding Style, and Marriage Magazine, as well as many websites and blogs worldwide. They have also been showcased via marketing campaigns by Prague Tourism Board as well as the Czech Government. For couples who do not wish to have their images shown publicly, we do offer an opt-out in their contract.

As a former photojournalist, I will always focus on capturing the essence of the moment beautifully and creatively. As much as I love the PJ aesthetic, I am keen on creating imagery that surpasses the wedding photography standard. As every wedding is a unique celebration of love, happiness, and yes, quirky moments - your photos should reflect this.
Despite being a photojournalist, I may ask you to move into the best light or have my assistant remove distractions that detract from the beauty of the image. I may also use flash to create a more visually interesting palette. The reality is my photography is tailored to each client's wishes. Some desire a straight reportage with no posing, while others want everything with a more creative set of portraits. The one thing that is constant: clean, polished imagery that as one former client calls 'expensive looking'.
After leaving photojournalism, I was lucky enough to understudy the best classical wedding photographer in Ireland. As a master photographer, he taught me everything about the elegance of wedding portraiture. For example, the placement of one's hands, or how to properly pose a bride's body, and yes, even the angle of the face can make a big difference when creating elegant and beautiful portraits. Though this style of portraiture was out of vogue recently - it is starting to come back. I personally welcome it as it brings the world of wedding photography to a higher standard in creativity and class.
If my style speaks to you - why not reach out and get in touch? I welcome the chance to hear about you, your vision for your day, and if I am the right fit.
Much of what I create as a photographer is not only about my skill set but about the connection that I have with you, your family & friends. The interactions we have leading up to your day as well as on greatly affect the work I will produce. Having that connection and trust allows me to both personalize and create images that will surpass your expectations.
We can do an in-person or video consult where you will get a chance to share your story and your desires. I will also be quite happy to offer my insight on how you can have the very best experience possible from your wedding day photography.
If this sounds like the kind of photographer that you wish to have - please feel free to contact me today as I'd love to hear from you!
