A tear rolled down Lars face as the love of his life, his partner and his radiant bride walked down the aisle. As Christiane reached him, he gently took her hand and kissed it as tears formed in her eyes. The joy on their faces as they turned and proudly faced the altar — shone like stars in the night sky.
Moments like this is why I love my work. Love is what defines us, inspires us, enriches us and adds meaning to our lives. Capturing fleeting moments so that couples can relive them over and over again is what makes this profession so special.
My name is Kurt Vinion, I am a proud father of two, a devoted partner, and a former photojournalist. A visual story teller at heart, I love capturing stories that will be cherished for a lifetime — if not generations.
Sam & Andrew - United Kingdom
St. Thomas Church wedding, Prague
I just love them.
What I love most is that you have really captured the day and the way Andrew and I were feeling and this is priceless.
As a wedding photographer myself, it was always going to be a big ask for someone to capture our big day and get us to behave ourselves!
Not only did I admire Kurt's work enough to want him to be our man, he was even part of the reason we decided to get married in Prague.
The results are magical and we've had so many people compliment us on such great wedding photographs.
I cannot recommend Kurt highly enough. He is an immense talent and an all round lovely guy.
Great photos don't just happen. They take a keen eye, patience and an artistic sensibility.
Combine those elements with a focus on capturing authentic moments and the results are - priceless!
This is why 8 professional wedding & portrait photographers from around the world have chosen Kurt Vinion
to capture the happiest days of their lives.
Kurt's style is a mixture of photojournalism & contemporary trends resulting in a style that is unique to each couple.

Pricing for destination weddings is usually specially created dependent upon the clients needs. Whether you are getting married at Lake Eibsee in Bavaria or the Peninsula Hotel in Hong Kong, I will happily travel for your wedding day.
For any brides & grooms who are considering marrying in Morocco, Turkey or Greece - I would be especially happy to speak with you about your wedding photography.
Many clients come to my site after reading reviews on Google, Wedding Wire, WPJA or have read about me from an industry blog site. I am very pleased to have made so many clients happy enough to take the time to write about their experiences with me. I hope to continue making many more wonderful experience for them to rave about in the future.
If you are looking for a wonderful wedding planner or need some advice I would be happy to offer you my professional opinion. Prague has numerous agencies that cater to the international market. Some of these agencies are excellent whereas others are not exactly at a level that brides from the US, N. American or Europe deserve. There is no quid pro quo - just an honest take from an American who values honesty and professionalism. As an outsider who calls Prague my home, I only want the very best experience for couples who chose to have their wedding day experience here.
Kurt Vinion's Wedding photos have been featured internationally in the following:
The couples whose weddings I have photographed have been featured in countless magazines, blog sites and marketing campaigns. The couples I have worked with have had their weddings featured in: CS Luxury Style, Weddings Online, Engaged Magazine, White Weddings, Good Morning America, BBC, Conde Naste, Wedding Magazine (NZ), Gay Wedding, French Wedding Style, and Marriage Magazine, as well as many websites and blogs worldwide.
Much of what I create as a photographer is not only about my skill set but about the connection that I have with you, your family & friends. The interactions we have leading up to your day as well as on greatly affect the work I will produce. Having that connection and trust allows me to both personalize and create images that will surpass your expectations.
We can do an in person or video consult where you will get a chance to share your story and your desires. I will also be quite happy to offer my insight on how you can have the very best experience possible from your wedding day photography.
If this sounds like the kind of photographer that you wish to have - please feel free to contact me today as I'd love to hear from you!
Wedding photography is about real moments: moments of happiness, humor and those intimate moments that turn photographs into cherished life long memories. Couples should relax and enjoy their wedding day knowing that their photographer will be capturing those fleeting moments.
As a former photojournalist I always focus on real emotions that capture the essence of the moment. As much as I love the PJ aesthetic I am also quite keen on being challenged in coming up with new angles, working with light, both natural and strobes and creating imagery that go well above the call of standard wedding photography. For me the key is to always adapt, learn new styles and be as flexible as possible. This is why I will not only shoot in one style.
When I was considering leaving the world of photojournalism I sought out the best classical wedding photographer in Ireland to teach me everything about classical portraits & weddings. The littlest things like the placement of ones hands, or a small turn of the body and yes, the angles of the face make a big difference. This is why when it comes to those stylish portraits (and with the blessing of the clients) my portraits retain a classical elegance. I will also key in on real emotion that happens spontaneously and as many couples want a more natural looking set of portraits - I am happy to do this as well.
In short, my style is a mixture of everything - in what can only be described as: modern & contemporary.
If my style speaks to you - why not reach out and get in touch? I would welcome the chance to hear about you and what your vision for your wedding day is and to see if I am the right fit.
Born in America and educated in Germany and the US, I am one of the lucky ones who calls Prague my home. My specialty is wedding photography that retains its classical elegance, yet with a photojournalist focus. My style can be best called modern, elegant and timeless.
I am also well known for my ability to use light in a creative way. This has garnered me awards (not that it really matters if you do not feel my images) such as the WPJA Top 100 Artistic Guild Photographers as well as many others.
I studied photojournalism in the United States under 2 incredibly gifted instructors who instilled in me the importance of connecting with people and telling their story. As my favorite instructor would say, 'Don't show me what it looks like – show me what it feels like'. From my days as a photojournalist that was always my mantra - to capture what people were experiencing at that moment in time.
This same philosophy applies to my wedding photography. Few can capture real moments in a beautiful & creative way as it takes great patience, dedication to the clients needs and living in their moment. You can feel the difference between those who capture real emotions and those who just pose their subjects and take a picture.
Since putting my Leica's down in 2007 and foregoing conflict and social documentary - I have focused on one thing and one thing only – capturing couples experiencing the happiest moments of their lives. It really is a privilege to be a part of something so beautiful as ones wedding day where the images captured will be cherished and past down to the next generation. It is something I never tire of and it always brings a smile to my face. When couples select me they realize they are getting not only the photojournalistic approach but an artistic and creative photographer who works tirelessly to create something truly unique.
In closing, I would like to say a big thank you to the many clients who have put their trust in me over the years. It truly is a great honor - one that I have and never will take lightly. Knowing that the moments I capture will be truly cherished is something I never tire of. In fact, I absolutely love it!
