Few can capture pre-weddings with a cinematic style and artistic ability than Kurt Vinion. A former magazine and portrait photographer Kurt is well known for his ability to use light as well as to get couples to feel comfortable with the creative process resulting in images that feel authentic and real.
Many images featured here are from Prague, Venice, Vienna, Rome, Hong Kong, and elsewhere. Also of note, as every couple is unique, we tailor our photography style to match your taste. Some couples are more refined and prefer a cleaner, posed aesthetic while others want a more modern, moodier, edgier, and natural approach. While others want a variety of styles and looks - in short everything! The key, taking the time to get to know you in order to create photos in your style. This is why couples should always hire a professional who is willing to work with them as well as get to know them.
But don't just take our word for it, look around at more galleries as well as read the many reviews from real couples.

We have all heard of the horror stories of couples who choose their pre-wedding or overseas photoshoot photographer based on price and regretting it later. As these sessions are an investment in your time, money, and emotion - investing in the right photographer is important. After all - your photos are all that you will have to show from your overseas pre-wedding photography experience. Finding a real professional who has been around for a while and one who offers a variety of styles and unique looks - is usually a safe approach.
Budget pre-wedding photographers can be found for around 50-100 EUR per hour. They are either still learning their craft or are hustling to make a bit of money on the side. They rarely have backup equipment or the expertise to handle any and every situation that regularly occurs. As they are still learning, they are usually not up to speed on simple things such as retouching, lighting, posing couples or making them feel comfortable and etc. As their price is low so must the client's expectations. This is why you can find 100's of photographers at the very low end of the pre-wedding photography market. One of the most critical areas for pre-weddings is the fact that many of these images will be shown on large screens (or in print) back at home. As the standard gets higher and higher every year having a photographer who will take the time to remove those unsightly wrinkles under your armpits, or the facial hair or removing objects that detract from your images is simply a must. This is why the lower end of the market is just that: low end.
Talented & reliable pre-wedding photographers can charge anywhere from 125-250 EUR per hour. These are the seasoned professionals who create quality as opposed to quantity. The discrepancy in this price range is based on multiple factors such as photographers from the East (Ukraine, Russia, etc) who market for this area but actually do not live or pay taxes. Or other factors such as the many part-timers who undercut the market in hopes of attracting volume. Please note that this price point does not reflect the costs of the hair & makeup artists, the lighting crews and etc. Some will retouch but the more you pay the better the retouching. This is why it is important to ask what exactly is the retouching? Is it putting a lightroom filter on all of your images? Or is it taking the images that you have personally selected to be showcased given the full retouching: removal of wrinkles, bad shadows, brightening of teeth (and yes the color of your eyes), and making sure your skin looks great. The truth is most pre-wedding photographers will not do this kind of work as they are competing on price.
You can, of course, find higher-priced pre-wedding photographers and at the higher end you can expect the following in their collections: hair & makeup, outfits, vans, and a lighting crew. As the sky is the limit on the high end it is really up to you how much you are willing to invest.
So what is the best approach to ensure you have the best pre-wedding photography experience? You should also see sample galleries. It is not enough to view a portfolio of 20-30 of the photographer's best photos from many couples. In fact, you should see many sessions showing the best 30-40-50 images from each couple to get an idea. Always ask what is the retouching and ask to see samples. Does the photographer work as a one-man operation or does he/she have a crew? Does your photographer capture only daytime motifs (scenes) or can do the nighttime as well? Does your photographer provide high-resolution files? And what are the sizes of those high-resolution files?
The reason why so many photographers call themselves pre-wedding or overseas photoshoot photographers is because they think it is a quick way to make money. So please be smart, ask as many questions as you feel that is needed. If your photographer can not be bothered to meet with you online or to answer your questions - perhaps they are not the right fit. For our clients who wish to know more please feel free to read our FAQ page as many of the most common questions are found there. But at the end of the day, it is the personal touch that always wins out!
If you have further questions or would like to discuss your session more in detail please do not hesitate to get in touch. As every couple is unique so should their photography.
