When you are photographing one of America’s top wedding photographers for her post wedding portrait session you better bring your A Game!
Sherri is the (in more ways than one) hot wedding photographer and Matt (a fellow Kentuckian) is the successful entrepreneur who stole her heart. Together they live in a historic mansion they just rebuilt in the heart of Cinncinnati.
In addition to being a fantastic couple – these two are wonderful friends of mine. So when Sherri & Matt they decided to visit Prague they brought along their wedding attire (I sadly could not make their wedding due to work commitments). Of course Matt was very stylish in his custom made suit but Sherry with her Berta dress really rocked it.
When you are working with one of the best only the best will do. So Cary Hubbs of Creative Productions handled the video duties and with 2 lighting assistants we started their session in the very early hours. Capturing these two as they sauntered down Narodni was brilliant in itself as the trams went by.
The day of the session!
We headed to the foggy and nearly empty gas lamp lit Charles Bridge where both teams captured the moments these two shared. And of course Sherri rocking it out with her dress had a small session of stylish portraits that accentuated her wonderful curves as Matt looked on smiling as he normally does.
The beautiful thing about being on the Charles Bridge at sunrise is you never know what to expect (besides crowds of tourists with their tripods). On this particular day the warmth of the rising sun and the mist from the Vltava created a gorgeous atmosphere of contrasts. It was really perfect for not only the stills part but the video as well.
Of course a quick visit to the Astronomical Clock was in order before we took leave of Prague. Our next stop, Castle Pruhonice with its incredible botanical Garden where we made our last set of portraits.
As these two remarked later it was an incredible, wonderful and unforgettable experience. And the best part of all of this? 9 months later a beautiful baby boy was born.
