If you have to ask me which wedding was the highlight of 2015 I must be honest and say: Sherry & Ken’s wedding at the Syon House in London. First, they were one of my favorite couples from a few years back who had a pre wedding session in Prague. We had not only an amazing time on their session, but we stayed in touch over the years and became great friends. I was quite honestly surprised when Ken contacted me and explained that after Sherry had reviewed many wedding portfolios she had decided that she wanted myself and my team for their London wedding. And who am I to say no to such a wonderful couple. So with the crew consisting of Cary & Kari (our amazing summer intern from Seattle) and I, we traveled to London for a truly elegant and unforgettable wedding with our old friends.

The day before their big wedding, we decided that a sunrise pre wedding portrait session in London would be a great way to start off their wedding celebrations. An of course this being London it poured down rain within 10 minutes of our starting our session at the Tower Bridge. It was quite a disastrous start. So what to do? As Ken & Sherry’s afternoon and evening was very busy with appointments and family commitments we agreed to simply post pone their pre wedding portrait session until the next day: the wedding day. Sherry would not have had it any other way.

As they were staying at the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel (it is a beautiful hotel and it is stunning for bridal and wedding portraits) we decided to have a short 20 minute portrait session the day of their wedding before leaving for the Syon Park. With the blessing of the hotel staff (who were awesome to work with) these portraits are undoubtedly quite striking and beautiful as this is a truly incredible location for wedding portraits or simply fashion styled portraiture.

Upon our arrival to the Syon House, which is one of the great manor houses in London, we were treated like old friends and warmly welcomed into the many of its great rooms and halls. Truth be told, the staff are old hands at creating a very elegant wedding day experience and we were all blown away by the hospitality during our stay. In fact, of the many places I have worked with worldwide the Syon Park is one of the most memorable for many reasons.

After their wedding day at the Syon Park was over we traveled back into the heart of of London, and had a few hours rest before joining our newlyweds for an extraordinary dinner at the Jamie Oliver restaurant Barbecoa. With Sherry & Ken and their families and close friends it was a wonderful dinner with fine wine and very tasty meats as we viewed the rooftop of St. Pauls and the many beautiful people who dined there.

After dinner, it was time to embark on our makeup pre wedding session that Sherry truly wished to have. With their close friend Matthew and Sherry’s sister Cherie joining us, we headed out for a very fun, fast paced, 2 hour post wedding session in the late evening of a beautiful summer evening in London. It was in a word: Beautiful!

I do hope this small collection of images from that amazing time in London captures the joy and the fun that these two wonderful people experienced during their London wedding.

An elegant, classy photo shoot in Prague

To be honest, this is such an incredible portrait session and in so many ways: the splendor of Prague during the most beautiful parts of the day, a reportage / posed / natural style portrait session taking in many locations and of course the lovely Catherine and her husband Cedric.Son who are great fun to be around.

As they are both very busy and successful business people, they really did not have the time to travel to Europe and have a proper ‘pre wedding portrait session’ prior to their wedding. So on a wonderful day last autumn we met them at the Charles Bridge for their sunrise & sunset post wedding portrait session in Prague.

Lauren & Gustav’s marriage proposal in Prague

The most beautiful wedding proposal on the Charles Bridge in Prague with Lauren & Gustav (USA)!

It truly was the most beautiful and romantic marriage proposal you will ever see on the Charles Bridge in Prague – in fact, it is a new standard.

Gustav (whose family traces their roots from here) sold Lauren on the idea of traveling to Prague for a vacation and while they were here to recreate a famous painting of a couple dancing atop the world famous Charles Bridge at night with several musicians.

With that in mind, the musicians (Viktorie & Pavel), the crew (lighting of course as you wish to have everything perfect – no cutting costs here) and of course the amazing location of the Charles Bridge at sunrise was organized on their behalf. The only thing we needed was perfect weather and luckily in the summer months that is never a problem.

They say that pictures are worth a 1000 words and with that in mind, I think we will simply let the following selection of their favorite images tell the story of that incredible summer morning in Prague.

Hebe and Pierre from Hong Kong sought the ultimate pre-wedding experience in Prague, capturing breathtaking moments at sunrise, sunset, and iconic locations like Charles Bridge and Prague Castle.

With a talented team, including Eliska, Cary, Kari, and Zu, they enjoyed a vibrant sunrise that painted the sky with stunning hues. Their session highlighted the couple’s warmth, style, and love, showcasing unique spots like the Royal Garden and riverside. The result? A collection of beautiful, artistic portraits that reflect their joyful adventure in this magical city. Wishing Hebe and Pierre all the happiness as husband and wife!

T+P Prague Castle pre wedding portraits

Introducing our latest couple T+P who traveled over from Hong Kong to have their beautiful summertime pre wedding portrait session here in Prague with yours truly.

Like many couples from Hong Kong, T+P wanted a more laid back session without the many tourists. The wonderful thing about their pre wedding session, less staged and more natural images. Which means a very leisurely pace amongst some of my favorite locations here in Prague.

As many of our Hong Kong couples are looking for a more earthy, organic feel – Prague with its many gardens makes for a relaxed atmosphere overlooking the stunning city down below. Of course you can still have the many iconic shots: the Astronomical Clock, the Charles Bridge, but the truly stunning architectural shots that define this city is what makes it so truly special.

So with our itinerary worked out well in advance, we simply wandered on a warm summer day capturing two people in love exploring one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.

C&L (Macau) summer Engagement session in Prague: without a doubt Prague is simply one of the most stunning locations for a pre wedding portrait session in Europe. You have the wonderful architecture, those amazing gardens and of course you have beautiful weather – especially in the summertime. Cecilia & Leong our latest and very stylish couple who traveled over from Macau wanted to simply soak up the atmosphere, the history the locations and just have a good time – not too many staged or posed images, just simply take in the city and especially enjoy the sites. Of course when you have two good looking and stylish people and this city – well, life isn’t too difficult to make them look great.

these two are too cute. All they were looking for was to enjoy the sunrise on the Charles Bridge and a few more locations. Nothing too staged, just a fun pre wedding portrait session in Prague during the summer months.

Starting very early in the am we had the Charles Bridge nearly entirely to ourselves when Sarah & Patrick arrived after their hair & makeup prep. When the clouds began to break and the first early light starting coming through the bridge quickly filled up with tourists – but not before we captured them enjoying what can only be described as a beautiful summer morning in Prague. Not that the Charles Bridge is the only place to enjoy the sunrise, we also headed to a few other locations that everyone who visits this city insists on and we had a great time doing it as well. Seeing that they are from Boston you know we had to come up with something special for them. So presented below is a few of their favorite images from that wonderful morning in Prague.
