Spring time in Prague is beautiful. The historic locations, combined with the blossoming flowers is a sight to behold. Though there are many places one can experience, one of the more popular is Petrin Hill.

Perhaps it is because at night one can see the illuminated ‘little Eiffel Tower’ over looking the city down below, or the observatory where one can gaze at the stars on a clear nite. And who can forget the funicular that slowly brings people up the hill? Maybe it is the stunning views from the many paths that criss cross this park and the scent of the rose gardens that draws us? For me, it is simply because it is an oasis of calm.

Coming from Hong Kong, Shirley & Green were keen on some more natural locations with their Prague pre wedding portrait session. Don’t get me wrong, I understand that for many of our world travelers the architecture and the many iconic locations that define this city are ‘must haves’, but sometimes it is nice to embrace the simple beauty of nature and especially in a park overlooking a remarkable skyline below.

In addition to its beauty, Petrin also has a tradition that every couple must abide if they are here on May 1st. In Prague they say that if you kiss your girl under the Cherry Blossom tree ‘she will always be beautiful.’ Another saying, ‘love confirmed with a kiss under the Cherry Blossom tree will last forever’.

We are very lucky to have worked with so many wonderful couples from around the world. Though there were many, Sherry & Ken’s session has to be one of our favorites (that we can actually show) from 2014. They were unbelievably cool, easy going, excited and typical of many of our Hong Kong couples – simply a joy to work with. But don’t take my word for it, check out their beautiful autumn session for your self.

A few words from the happy couple:

First and foremost Sherry and I are both grateful to you and your team for the wonderful photo-shooting experience we had in Prague, whom had made perfect arrangement the whole way from the starting pre-meeting session to the make-up and shooting session. The photos are magnificent – Sherry especially like the set of photos taken at the Beach and the Vrtbovska garden. I on the other hand, like the ones from Vrtbovska, Riverside, the Portrait, Lenta, Bellevue Palace, Castle Stable, St Vitus, Charles Bridge, and the night session, yes I am sure you get what I mean. The overall experience we had with your team is excellent and we are truly grateful of the amazing experience we had in Prague. Should you ever find yourself in Hong Kong, make sure you give us a call – we will take you out for some amazing local food which we are absolutely positive that you will be delighted with!

engagement proposal Prague I Molly & Clay engagement photos

Clay, who has been living in Africa, contacted us recently about a very special session here in Prague: a wedding proposal for his lovely girlfriend Molly who was flying in from the US. The only question: where? After a few discussions Clay decided on the overlook up at Letna Park – which provides one of the most beautiful locations in Prague to see the city.

Capturing Molly’s shocked and very surprised expression was simply priceless. And for the romantics out there, yes, Clay being the southern gentleman that he is did get down and propose to her in a most chivalrous manner. She of course said yes and the ring is quite stunning too.

After a few more intimate moments of them simply soaking it all in they headed up to another beautiful places that overlooks Mala Strana near Prague Castle. One of my favorite images are of them simply sitting there contemplating their future as the twinkling lights of the city sparkle down below. It was truly a beautiful and unforgettable misty evening.

The second part of the surprise for Molly was a small E-Session the following day in some of the more picturesque parts of the city. And naturally the final stop on this whirlwind tour was was the Christmas Market in the Old Town Square.

I really do hope that these images capture the feeling and emotion that Molly & Clay shared during that very special time they shared here in Prague.
