One of my favorite couples: the lovely Michelle & Michal who traveled to Prague for their beautiful destination wedding.
What makes this wedding so special is how these two simply enjoyed the most momentous day of their lives. It was filled with many wonderful moments shared not only between this gorgeous couple but between their many family & friends. It was also one of my first weddings I have ever captured.
The bridal prep & groom prep took place at the Aria Hotel which overlooks the Vrtba Garden. For any bride & groom who is considering marrying in Prague the Vrtba Garden is one they should play high on their list of venues. The garden provides an oasis in the summer months such as during this wedding when the weather was very hot.
With many family & friends coming in from around the world - their wedding was a beautiful, fun-filled ceremony as these two radiated so much happiness and joy.
After capturing the many funny moments shared by family & friends during their portrait session - we headed up to the top of the garden where luckily it was not as busy as it normally is. The location high above Vrtba provides a wonderful view of the city of Prague down below and always leaves a lasting impression for couples who need to catch their breathe and enjoy a few precious moments with each other. The wonderful moments both natural and yes, a bit art directed (as they wished) are some of the most stunning.
After their bried portrait session it was time to say good bye to the garden and travel up to the Villa Richter where the evenings festivities were to be held. What makes the Villa Richter so unforgettable is the view overlooking the city down below. On this sweltering summer night it also gave us a wonderful view of the fireworks that went off that evening.
Yet, it was the many wonderful stories told that evening that brought about many tears of laughter. Their family & friends really made what can be a boring part of the evening one of the many highlights.
For many couples taking a few moments leave of their family & guests are always appreciated. After all having time with each other on ones wedding day can be quite limited so I always encourage couples to take 15 minutes away from their guests. Sometimes it is just a few private moments shared and I back off. Other times, the real magica occurs. Such as Michal taking Michelle by the hand and serenading her as they danced in the vineyards above Prague. It was beautiful - something every bride can and does appreciate. It was also a wonderful way to remember their vantage point overlooking Prague on a very special and unforgettable evening.
Beautiful moments like this are what makes a wedding day so special.
